Ware Landscaping is absolutely fantastic.
Mike and his crew were the best landscape engineers I’ve worked with. We had a french drain and all new sod installed and it all works great. Mike is friendly and knowledgeable and is there to help get the best possible results. Fermin is an excellent foreman. I plan on using them for all our landscape needs.
In June and July of 2019, Mike completed a huge backyard drainage project for us. We live in a flood plain, and the entire neighborhood drains into our backyard. After every rain, a pond would form in our backyard and be there for several days (see first two pictures). One morning, we woke up after a rain and actually had ducks swimming in our backyard. We called several landscaping companies in the area and, after coming out and examining our yard, the response was that they couldn’t do it, we would need to talk to the city to get the drainage fixed.
I called out Ware Landscaping to regrade, put in drainage, and sod my half acre yard. Mike and Greg are great, but I have to make a shout out to Fermine and the crew! My yard was a mess before I called them and I had a very specific vision for what I expected my yard to look like at the end of the project. They heard my vision loud and clear and made it come to life. They were also great at working around the other contractors I had putting in our shed, pool, deck and sprinkler system to complete our back yard makeover. It’s been a couple of weeks, and I’m still speechless at our new yard and all it’s lush, beautiful grass and no standing water.
I had major flooding ever since the new home behind me was built. I interviewed 7 other companies before finding Ware Landscaping. The larger rains that our area had been experiencing caused so much flooding, it took me 13 hours with a 2” gas pump to get all the water out of my backyard and save my basement from flooding. Mike Ware (owner) came out, looked at my flooding pictures which I included below and explained his product, procedures,guarantees, and cost. Greg was the foreman along with his crew, and everyday they informed me what was going to be done that day.
From the first phone call to plan an estimate which was answered by Connie, the initial design and estimate by Mike, to the completed project and final walk-thru by the operations manager Greg everything was 100 percent professional. The team walked us thru the plan, laid out everything from the plan, reviewed the layout against the plan, made recommendations for improvements based off their experience, listened and answered my questions and even used one of my many suggestions.
We had Ware landscaping out last week to install drainage and re-grade/sod our entire yard. The objective was to resolve an issue with our yard flooding at least 6 times a year. Mike’s crew was polite, worked neatly and trenched almost the entire perimeter of our yard BY HAND!!!! These guys dug through roots from mature 60-year-old landscaping and under a fence without tearing it out. They clearly knew what they were doing, and worked meticulously on the pitch for the drainage throughout the job.
Mike and his crew were great to work with. Very easy to communicate with. Mike is very personable – the guy you’d want living next door to you. This was a great transaction. Would definitely do business with Ware Landscaping again.
October 21 – we still haven’t gotten a torrential rain but here’s a few new pix showing the finished product in the front yard.
April 1, 2021 – We had plenty of snow over the winter followed by a few inches of rain shortly after the snow melt. ZERO standing water. Thanks Mike and crew!
Mike and his team were great! He was prompt in his response time and his team was thorough w/their work (fall clean up). Our favorite part of their work was the Christmas light install-they fit us in their calendar in a timely fashion and did an overall great job putting up a beautiful Christmas light display! So happy w/the overall service!
I am writing this brief review because of the fantastic experience we had with Ware Landscaping, Inc. For weeks me and my sons tried to resolve an issue dealing with water seepage in our garage. It was not resolved until I contacted Ware Landscaping. Our experience from project review, contracting and job completion was way beyond our expectation! Mike Ware and his organization from top to bottom was terrific to work with. They not only completed the job of installing a French drain over 100 feet.
